Battle of the Dome
P&O Cruises | Live Interactive Game Show | Concept & Creative Direction
Battle of the Dome is a high-energy, fast-paced live game show created exclusively for the SkyDome venues onboard P&O Cruises' Iona and Arvia. Combining competitive gameplay, spectacular digital visuals, live music, and audience participation, the show transforms the SkyDome into a vibrant evening entertainment destination.
Hosted by a dynamic duo and driven by a live band, the experience brings together slick digital graphics, rapid-fire game rounds, and larger-than-life physical challenges. Each performance features four rounds selected from a collection of eight original games, creating variety and replayability.
Between rounds, the action spills out into the audience with energetic, interactive challenges. From cheering on animated racing champions to launching balls at giant inflatables and keeping oversized beach balls out of competing team zones, the entire SkyDome becomes part of the competition.
With live music underscoring every moment, Battle of the Dome blends the excitement of a television game show with the atmosphere of a live entertainment spectacle. Designed to maximise the unique potential of the SkyDome, it creates a shared, immersive experience that encourages guests to come together, compete, and make the venue a destination for their evening.
My Role — Creator & Creative Director
I conceived and developed the original concept for Battle of the Dome, establishing the creative vision, show format, gameplay structure, and overall entertainment experience.
As Creative Director, I led the project from concept through to delivery, collaborating with multiple specialist vendors to bring together the digital content, physical gameplay elements, music, and live production. I also oversaw rehearsals, cast training, and the final installation onboard both ships, ensuring the creative vision translated into a polished, engaging, and technically integrated live experience.
